ISP Fort Wayne Post Welcomes Two Troopers

(FORT WAYNE) – Two Northeast Indiana men have been assigned to the Indiana State Police Post in Fort Wayne.

Trooper Samuel Sharp is from LaGrange County, and a graduate of Westview High School. Before becoming a Trooper, he was a corrections officer for the LaGrange County Jail. He graduated from the 81st Indiana State Police recruit academy in December of 2021 and was assigned to the Toll Road Post.

He recently received his transfer to the Fort Wayne Post where he will primarily serve the people of LaGrange and Steuben Counties. Trooper Sharp is a member of the Indiana State Police’s Mobile Field Force (Crowd Control). He is active in his community and enjoys time with his wife and daughter, as they await their second child.

Trooper Samuel Waterhouse is from DeKalb County where he graduated from Garrett High School. After high school, he served for six years in the Indiana Army National Guard. He finished his career in the Guard at the rank of Sergeant (E5).

Trooper Waterhouse is a graduate of the Indiana State Police’s 80th recruit academy. He was assigned to the Toll Road Post from December 2019 until he was recently granted a transfer to the Fort Wayne Post. While at the Toll Road Post, he was assigned to Zone 4 working LaGrange and Steuben Counties.

Now at the Fort Wayne Post, Trooper Waterhouse will primarily serve the people of DeKalb and Noble Counties. He is a member of the Area II Critical Incident and Reconstruction Team (CIRT), Level III certified in Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, and certified in Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement (ARIDE).
