The annual Celebration of Christmas at the historic Powers Church will be held on
Sunday, November 25 at 3:00 PM. The public is invited to join in the service that
will include singing traditional carols and reading the Christmas story in the King
James Version of the Bible.

Several area musicians and readers are participating in the program. Jerry
Sonner, Susan Sonner and Sally Mowrey will greet visitors with Christmas carols
played on dulcimers. Bill SanGiacomo and Kathy Aldrich are reading the Christmas
story with participation in song from the congregation. Kathy Aldrich and Blake
Stevenson will accompany the audience on bass and guitar.
Because there is no heat in the building, everyone is invited to dress warmly,
bring a lap blanket or quilt, and enjoy stepping back over 100 years to celebrate
the true meaning of Christmas. Hot cider and cookies will be provided after the
30-minute service.
