Rapid Response Grants are available in LaGrange County for those that have been affected by COVID-19.
The LaGrange County Community Foundation along with the United Way of
Elkhart and LaGrange County and other area funders have partnered to provide a collective response to emerging needs as a result of the coronavirus.
A simple application will be reviewed by a team from both organizations and
you will get a single response. Priority will be given to community based organizations providing a basic needs services to people who are immediately suffering from this crisis. The grant making will evolve with the situation making the funds flexible and responsive.
Grants will be limited to 501C3 nonprofit organizations; groups fiscally
sponsored by a 501C3 nonprofit organization; or other charitable organizations able to receive a tax deductible contribution, such as schools and other public entities.
The grants will be available to elderly and other high risk populations; low income residents experiencing a short term financial crisis due to loss of work or missed work; residents who are food insecure and supplies to support emergency response.
