(ELKHART COUNTY) – A crash in Elkhart County early Monday morning injured a South Bend man.
The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office says the incident happened just before 4 AM on U.S. 20 near Jefferson Parkway. According to investigators, a 60 year old man was heading east on U.S. 20 when for an unknown reason he crossed into the westbound lanes.
His vehicle went off the road and into a ditch. It them ramped off of a driveway, landing back in the ditch and eventually coming to a stop.
The man was taken to an area hospital to be treated for back pain. A cause for the crash is still being investigated.
