For the third straight game, the Trine University men's soccer team won via the shutout, this time with a 4-0 win against Bluffton University in non-conference action at Weaver Field.

The Thunder took control of the game early with a pair of goals within the first five minutes of the game. Sophomore Nooh Aljabaly (Coldwater, Mich./Coldwater) scored first, just past the two minute mark of the opening half, to put Trine (5-1) ahead, 1-0. Nearly three minutes later, senior Kyle Wainscott (Indianapolis, Ind./Lawrence North) made it a two-goal game off of a free kick attempt at the 4:58 mark to make the score, 2-0.

Trine scored its final two goals in the second half, beginning with another free kick opportunity that ended up in the back of the net when freshman Brian Morris (Metamora, Mich./Lapeer) scored his second goal of the season during the 58th minute to pad the lead to 3-0. Aljabaly rounded out the scoring with his second goal of the contest, and team-leading sixth of the season, late in the game during the 86th minute as the Thunder went on to the 4-0 final.

Bluffton (5-1) totaled six shots in the game, with two being on net and were both saved by Trine's Taylor Medina (Mill Creek, Ind./Rochester) who started the game for the Thunder and played 61:55. Junior Quin O'Brien (Indianapolis, Ind./Lawrence North) came on to replace Medina and played the final 28:05 giving up no goals.

Trine will travel to Fort Wayne, Ind. to take on the University of St. Francis on Wednesday, Sept. 19. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
