A high speed chase started after authorities attempted to make a routine traffic stop. The incident happened just before 4 PM Saturday in Branch County's Noble Township.
Deputies in Branch County, Michigan had attempted a traffic stop for a routine violation when a pursuit started in the south portion of Noble Township. Reports indicate that speeds exceeded 100 MPH, running many stop signs through Branch County and St Joe County, and then into Lagrange County in Indiana.
Branch County Deputies ended their pursuit as they entered LaGrange County when the vehicle drove into a field. Branch County Deputies were able to keep a visual on the suspect vehicle until the driver was taken into custody. The suspect was arrested by Indiana DNR office and transported to the Lagrange County Jail.
Branch County Sheriff Deputies where assisted by the St Joe County and LaGrange County Sheriff Deputies along with Indiana DNR Officer.
The name of the suspect is being held pending arraignment in Indiana and charges pending in Michigan. Authorities say that the suspect is also a Parole Absconder out of Michigan Parole Office.
