(BRONSON) – A Bronson organization has received a special gift.
The Bronson Community Foundation was awarded a $3,000 grant from Altrusa International of Branch County on Thursday. It was given based on the Foundation’s generosity and commitment to the Bronson community.
The grant is going to be used to repair the roof of Bronson’s historic Art Deco style marquee sign on the former Bronson Theater. This is a treasured piece of local history, and also serves as Bronson’s primary message board, keeping residents informed of community events and activities.
Bronson Community Foundation representative Patrick Bird says the Foundation is sincerely grateful for all that Altrusa International has done, and continues to do for Bronson. Bird says Altrusa’s support helps ensure that the historic theater remains welcoming for years to come.
As a way to say Thank You, the Foundation presented Altrusa with a plaque, which will be displayed in the inner lobby of the theater.
