(DEKALB COUNTY) – A Butler man received a broken nose in a motorcycle accident.
According to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, 60 year old Douglas Dowden was driving north in the 4200 block of County Road 61 at 3:25 PM Sunday and came upon a curve in the road.
Witnesses say Dowden took the turn too wide and drove his motorcycle off the road an onto the gravel shoulder. The motorcycle overturned, ejecting Dowden, who then tumbled down an embankment.
Dowden was taken to an area hospital to be treated for his injury.
The Butler Police and Fire Departments along with Parkview EMS assisted at the scene.
