BRONSON, MI – A portion of U.S. 12 west of Bronson near the Branch-St. Joseph County line had to be shut down Tuesday morning.
The crash took place at about 5:50 a.m. when a pick up truck reportedly hit a utility pole.
Bronson Fire Chief Scott Wilber says the impact snapped the pole and caused the power lines to fall onto the road. A Consumers Energy crew responded in order to make the necessary repairs.
The driver of the pickup truck was not injured.
U.S. 12 reopened to traffic just after 7 a.m. Tuesday morning.
