ANGOLA - While some area students this week have been enjoying fall break, the beat goes on for the Angola High School Marching Hornets as they’ve been practicing for their upcoming semi-state competition .
Although Angola High School is currently out on fall break, special practice sessions were held this week for marching band members. They have a little over a week left to prepare for their semi-state performance, where the Marching Hornets will travel to Decatur Central High School in Indianapolis for the Class C semi-state competition on October 30th.
Last weekend, their show, titled “Cube Squared,” received a gold rating at Regionals.
In order to advance to state finals, the Angola band must qualify in the top 10 of their class at the semi-state competition.
The ISSMA state finals will take place November 6th at Lucas Oil Stadium.
