It was announced in a Facebook post on Sunday that a popular Fort Wayne area hotel and conference center are shutting their doors as Don Hall’s Guesthouse Hotel and Conference Center announced the sad news after nearly 40 years in business.

Citing the current state of affairs having severely impacted their business, the move to close is also having Halls officials hoping to look towards better future efforts and projects.

The company bought the location formerly known as the Imperial House Hotel in 1981 and hosted travelers, weddings, birthdays, showers, parties, staycations and holiday celebrations.

Hall’s maintains 12 restaurants in the Fort Wayne area along with a catering service.
