Cardinal IG announced late Wednesday afternoon a 3 year, $12.5 million dollar plant expansion to their Fremont operation. This expansion will provide for continued growth of the organization by creating additional glass fabrication capacity, and streamlining the existing plant with technology improvements. Additionally, this capital project will create 50 new hourly and salaried jobs at the Fremont plant.
Cardinal IG has forged a strong relationship with the Town of Fremont, since they began operation in Fremont back in 1998. The company is excited to announce these plans as it reinforces their commitment to the community, by continuing to operate a world class facility that fabricates highly advanced, green energy saving glass products for the window & door industry.
Cardinal Glass Industries (parent company of Cardinal IG), is the largest fully integrated supplier of residential glass products in the world with 37 US plant locations. Its subsidiary location in Fremont, Indiana employs over 330 people, and produces over 2.5 million insulating glass units annually.
