Free Online College Course: Great Books 101
LaGrange County Public Library
Friday Mornings, January 5 - March 16

This is a noncredit course.
No registration is needed.
There are no tests or reading requirements.
We’ll watch one 45-min. lecture each Friday,
while enjoying coffee, tea, and Deep Thoughts.

Hillsdale College makes a number of its most popular courses freely available online. We are pleased to be able to offer these free college classes to the public.

Great Books 101 will introduce you to important stories from ancient Greece through medieval Europe. We’ll explore the writings of Homer, St. Augustine, Dante, and more. The course will challenge you to seek timeless lessons regarding human nature, virtue, self-government, and liberty in the pages of the great books.

The Writers’ Roundtable

The Writers’ Roundtable is a creative writing group for adults and teens.
We meet four times a year and have a fantastic time!

Anyone can come! This is a great group for aspiring writers who want to get feedback on their work, or who want to be motivated to start writing again.
But it’s also a treat for anyone who loves a good story and enjoys discussing books, movies, and TV and analyzing their favorite characters and plotlines.
