
(JOLIET, IL) – The Trine University Track and Field teams competed at the St. Francis (IL.) Fighting Chance Invitational over the weekend. Sidney Swick was the standout performer trimming over a minute off the old school record in the 10,000-meter run. Her time of 35:07.37 establishes a new program record and ranks her eighth in Division III. Eleanor Young and Bailey Puckett each competed in the 1500 meter run. Puckett was sixth in her heat with a new personal best of 4:29.35 and is 17tha in Division III. Young was fourth in her heat, finishing in 4:36.20. The top 22 individuals in each event will qualify for the NCAA Championships on May 22-24. The Thunder will travel to the Augustana Final Qualifier on Wednesday for one last chance at qualifying marks.
