Lakeland loses to host Fairfield 48-38
(BENTON TOWNSHIP) – Penalties proved a problem for Lakeland as the Lakers fell on the road to Fairfield 48-38 in and NECC Big School Division game. Carson Mickem led the Lakers ground game with 11 carries for 119 yards and 2 touchdowns. LINKC. Brayden Holbrook was 10 of 18 for 125 yards and a score to go along with 12 carries for 55 yards. Keyan Arroyo had 5 carries for 21 yards and a score, plus 3 receptions for 56 yards and a touchdown. Drannon Miller paced the defense with 8 tackles while Austyn McFall had 7 tackles. Lakeland is now 5-3 overall and 1-3 in the NECC Big School Division. Fairfield is 3-5 and 1-3 in the Division.
