
Lakeland rebounds with 19-6 win over Angola
(LAGRANGE) – The Lakeland football team bounced back from a loss to Garrett by beating visiting Angola 19-6 in an NECC Big School Division contest at the newly renamed Miller Field, despite 4 turnovers on the night. Brayden Holbrook was 13 of 24 for 89 yards and a touchdown and two interceptions. He also rushed 11 times for 21 yards and another score and a fumble. Carson Mickem had 8 carries for 39 yards with a touchdown and a fumble. Levi Cook had 3 receptions for 35 yards and a score. Keyan Arroyo led the Laker defense with 7 tackles. Mickem had 5 tackles while Drannon Miller, Isaiah Weingartner each Cruz Richard each had 4 tackles. Lakeland is now 4-1 overall and 1-1 in the NECC Big School Division. Angola falls to 1-4 and 0-2 in the division.
