(CHURUBUSCO) – Lakeland took their first road trip of the 2024 football season, traveling to Churubusco and beating the Eagles 33-8 in an NECC non division game. That’s even after a 90 minute lightning delay at half-time. Brayden Holbrook was 14 of 21 for 214 yards, 3 touchdowns and an interception. LINKC. He also had 9 carries for 12 yards and a touchdown. Keyan Arroyo had 6 receptions for 153 yards and 2 touchdowns, along and an interceptions that was returned 45 yards. Myles Edwards had 4 receptions for 51 yards and a score. Arroyo led the defense with 11 tackles. Drannon Miller had 8 tackles while Keaton Bell and Carson Mickem each had 7 tackles and Mickem also had an interception. Lakeland improves to 2-0 on the season and will host Prairie Heights in the annual Milk Can Game next Friday.
