
Indiana High School Girls Basketball Sectionals officially got underway Tuesday Night.
At the 1A sectional held at Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian Lakewood Park defeated Hamilton 49-13.
The Prairie Heights Lady Panthers traveled to the class 2A sectional in Albion. The Panthers dropped a heartbreaker to #3 Central Noble in the first round of Sectionals 52-37.
PH Coach Bill Morr said, "I could not be more proud of every one of our girls. They battled until the very end and gave it everything that they had."
Kylee Leland led Prairie Heights with 19 points. She was followed by Emily McCrea with 10 points, Lilli Howe and McKinlee Kain both with 3 points, and Ava Boots with 2 points
Also in 2A, Westview won over Churubusco 36-35. Westview will play the Fremont Lady Eagles on Friday night.
The Angola Lady Hornets will get their first taste of Sectionals tonight as they make their way to Fort Wayne for the Concordia 3A Sectional where they will play against Garrett.
