Tuesday night was the opening round of the Northeast Corner Conference boys and girls basketball tournaments.
Girls NECC Tournament:
In the opening round, the Angola Lady Hornets beat Central Noble 52 to 38.
The Lady Hornets will play Lakeland at Central Noble tonight with a 6 p.m. tip-off.
Boys NECC Tournament:
In the boys NECC Tourney, Angola lost to Central Noble 67-41.
Central Noble’s Connor Essegian made history on scoring over 2,000 points in his high school career.
Tournament action continues Wednesday night as Fremont will be hosting Churubusco in the quarterfinals of the NECC Basketball Tourney. Admission is $6.00.
The Prairie Heights panther boys and girls basketball teams will be hitting the road to Westview. The girls game will be first starting at 6 PM with the boys game to follow.
WLKI and the Swick Broadcasting Company’s sports crews will be out cover multiple games tonight and throughout the week long series.
