FREMONT - In area girls high school regional softball action, Fremont’s season ended. Northfield softball claims their first ever regional over Fremont 12-0 in 5 innings.
The Fairfield Lady Falcons are regional softball champions for the first time since 2018 with a 10-0 over South Adams in 5 innings.
They’ll head into the second game of the semifinal round at the Frontier Semistate.
Falcons are now a program best 25-4.
For the first time since 2011, Columbia City is a regional softball champion with a 5-1 win over Fort Wayne Northrop.
They’ll face Lake Central in the first game of the Harrison West Lafayette Semistate.
