(ANGOLA) — Residents across Steuben, DeKalb and Noble counties should prepare for colder temperatures tonight and early Friday morning, with a frost advisory issued for the region.
The National Weather Service issued the advisory, which is in effect until 9 a.m. Saturday. Forecasters said temperatures could drop as low as 33 degrees, leading to frost formation that could kill sensitive outdoor plants.
The advisory covers northeastern Indiana and portions of southern Michigan.
Homeowners and farmers are advised to take protective measures for vegetation that may be susceptible to cold, including covering plants or bringing potted plants indoors. The forecast shows warmer weather returning over the weekend.
