(ANGOLA) – The skies over Angola will be full of hot air balloons this weekend.
The 16th Angola Balloons Aloft will be taking place Friday afternoon, all day Saturday and Sunday morning at Angola High School. There is an international flair to the event, with a balloon pilot coming all the way from Australia.
Janet Hartsuff of Angola Balloons Aloft says this isn’t just a fun weekend to see balloons. She says it’s an actual competition between 28 balloons and explains what the competition consists of. LINKC.
Friday’s events start at 4 PM with helicopter rides with a cost of $50 per person and then $60 after 6 PM. There will also be an antique tractor show and the kid’s fun zone.
The opening ceremonies start at 6 PM and at 7 PM will be the fun flight, competition and special shapes. At twilight the hot air balloon illumination will be taking place.
