(DEKALB COUNTY) – One person was injured in a two vehicle accident in Northeast Indiana.
The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called out at 5:45 PM Wednesday to southbound I-69 at the 325 mile marker. When they arrived, deputies were told by 41 year old Todd Hasselman of Angola and another witness that a vehicle driven by 56 year old Daniel Bollhaeimer of Fort Wayne tried to pass Hasselman, but there was a semi in front of them.
Bollhaeimer went back into the other lane and struck Hasselman’s front passenger side bumper, then lost control and struck the guardrail and a concrete wall on a bridge.
Bollhaeimer complained of neck pain and was taken by Parkview EMS to an area hospital. His vehicle suffered approximately $10,000 in damages.
Hasselman was not injured and his pickup had $1,000 in damage.
The Auburn Police and Fire Departments assisted at the scene.
