(UNDATED) – If you travel on M-86 between St. Joseph and Branch Counties, please advised your journey may be a little slower than normal.
The Michigan Department of Transportation says crews are working from the intersection of M-86 and U.S. 12 in Coldwater to the Village of Colon. They will be milling out and replacing rumble strips along the length of the highway.
In addition, paving work will be done on a section of M-86 east of Wheeler Road, where a sink hole developed earlier this month.
M-86 will be open during this project, however motorists will have to be aware for lane closures.
