CENTREVILLE – A murder case which took place in Colon, Michigan had its preliminary exam on Thursday at the St. Joseph County Circuit Court after being turned over by the State of Michigan.
Michael Lafler 35 murdered Chelsea Wallen 33 of Colon, Michigan in October of 2021.
Wallen was reportedly dating Lafler when her murdered her by strangulation at her home.
Colon Police Sergeant Joel Herr was one of three witnesses who took the stand at the trial.
Herr testified stating an argument broke out between Lafler and Wallen which turned physically violent.
Lafler is currently held on a $1 million bond at the St. Joseph County Jail in Centreville, Michigan.
