NDIANAPOLIS, – Unemployment rates around Northeast Indiana went down from September to October.
According to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development, Steuben County went down one-tenth of a percent from 1.9 to 1.8.
LaGrange County had no change in their jobless rate, staying at 1.5 percent. That ties them with Union County for the lowest jobless rate in the Hoosier State.
The biggest drops in Northeast Indiana were in Noble and DeKalb Counties, which both went down three-tenths of a percent. Noble County dropped from 2.6 to 2.3 percent, while DeKalb County went from 2.2 to 1.9 percent.
Elkhart County saw a drop from 2 percent to 1.8, which is a decrease of two-tenths of a percent.
Statewide, the unemployment rate dropped from 2.8 to 2.5 percent from September to October, which is a decrease of three-tenths of a percent.
