Ben Lemmon Announced As New Cougar Boys Basketball Coach

ALBION, IN - Central Noble Athletics has announce the new leader of their varsity boys basketball program.

Ben Lemmon has been approved by the school board as the new Head Boys Basketball Coach. 

Lemmon will be the 18th coach of the Cougars program dating back to 1968.  He takes the place of John Bodey who had been with the program for seven seasons, earning a record of 134-49 including a state runner-up campaign in 2022

Coach Lemmon is a 2002 Central Noble High School graduate who attended Purdue University in West Lafayette and earned his bachelor of science degree in Agribusiness Management in 2007.  Since his graduation from Purdue University he has coached every year and has a total of 16 years of experience at different levels. 

He began his coaching career as a Junior High coach for Central Noble from 2007-2013, he then went to West Noble as a High School assistant from 2014-2018, and most recently he has been Central Noble’s Junior Varsity Boys Basketball Head Coach since 2019.

In his interviews with the hiring committee, he noted his desire to not only win games but to create men of character.  He called them “Champions” of the program. 

Lemmon is a native of Noble County and the Albion community.
