At the 3A Section #21 at Concordia tonight, tonight’s championship game will feature Woodlan (20-4) against Garrett (13-11).
Despite a slow start on offense Friday night, Woodlan pulled away thanks to timeline shooting and a strong defense. Addie Goheen had 13 points followed by Avah Smith’s 12.
Bailey Kelham’s 33 points and tough Garrett defense held off a persistent Concordia rally. Bailey Kelham currently sits at 1,730 career points. 3 points is all she needs to become the highest scoring player in the history of Garrett High School.
Tonight in the championship, Garrett is looking to defend their sectional title for the first time since 2011. Woodlan’s last sectional title came in 1990 (Single-Class Stats Tournament).
The 7:30 PM game tonight can be viewed on IHSAA TV Exclusive: Summit City Sports.
The winner will play next Saturday at the Bellmont Regional site.
