(BATTLE CREEK) – A one vehicle crash claimed the life of a Union City man.

Michigan State Police from the Marshal Post responded to a single vehicle crash on East I-94 near Exit 97 in Battle Creek at 10:15 PM Friday.

Witnesses were interviewed and along with the evidence from the scene, it was determined that a pick up was traveling east when it crossed from the left hand lane to the right hand lane, exited the roadway and rolled onto its roof.

The driver, a 33 year old Union City man, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing his seatbelt.

The Battle Creek Police and Fire Departments along with Life Care Ambulance assisted troopers at the scene.
