DEKALB COUNTY - An Angola man was injured during an accident late Sunday morning on Interstate 69.
The accident took place at approximately 11:45 a.m. near 329 mile marker southbound on I-69.
The DeKalb County Sheriff's Department said Matthew Yeggie, 48, of Angola was driving in the south passing lane in his 2001 Ford Mustang when he lost control due to the snowy roadway.
Yeggie's vehicle went off the road and struck a guardrail on its rear side.
Authorities note the Mustang to be a total loss.
Yeggie suffered lacerations to his face and was transported to a nearby hospital.
The DeKalb County Sheriff's Department was assisted by the Auburn Police Department, the Auburn Fire Department, the Indiana State Police and Parkview EMS.
