County Looking to Save going with Energy Efficient Lighting
Wednesday, October 20, 2021

ANGOLA — Steuben County officials are looking to save on lighting bills with a new energy-efficient lighting system scheduled to be installed at the community center.

An LED lighting project that will potentially save the county roughly $250-thousand dollars in energy bills over 15 years was approved this week by the Steuben County Board of Commissioners.

The project will retrofit all lighting in the Steuben County Community Center. The cost will come in just over $45-thousand dollars with a 20% rebate program through NIPSCO.

The rebate will save the county enough money to implement the project this year.
