Hamilton High School Boys Varsity Basketball beat Smith Academy For Excellence 56-32

The Hamilton Marines jumped on Smith Academy for Excellence in the first quarter - 12-3 - and didn't let up all night. Bailey Merritt led the Marines on Senior Night with 19 points, Alex Thain, coming back after missing two games with Mono, put up 10 points, Jacob Pattee had 8 points, Dustin Cool and Marko Stanojcic each had 6, and Sean Murphy and Cory Barnes chipped in 3 each.

The Marines offense was generated with its defense, forcing the Smith Academy squad into taking hurried and contested shots all night long. The Marines dominated the glass behind Pattee's 11 rebounds and Stanojcic's 10.

The Marines go again on Friday night at Churubusco.
