Angola City Police Investigate Monday Morning Incident

Angola City Police have released a brief statement concerning a Monday morning incident that they are investigating.

Authorities with the APD say that they received a phone call in which the caller reported that he had caused serious bodily injury to a female. The caller also stated that there were children in the home and they could also be harmed.

Angola City Police along with the Steuben County Sheriff's Department checked residential homes along East Maumee Street.

Area residents and individuals on their way to work reported city and county officers armed with guns in the area east of the mound Monday morning.

At this point city officials say that the complaint was unfounded and public safety in not to be a concern.

An investigation into the complaint is ongoing at this time.
