The cases of a doctor and a Coldwater woman are moving on to Branch County Circuit Court.
Court officials say that 42 year old Dr. Christina Whitaker will have a pre-trial conference on May 22 and 41 year old Gretchen Alldredge's conference is set for May 24.
The two women were arrested after an investigation by Coldwater Police. Whitaker is accused of writing prescriptions for the drug Adderal for Alldredge. Police say Alldredge also tried to buy the drug for Whitaker.
A total of 16 charges have been filed by the Branch County Prosecutor's Office against Whitaker and 18 against Alldredge.
Whitaker was arrested in February by Coldwater Police after they stopped her car as she was driving back from Hillsdale County after participating in an illegal exchange with an undercover informant.
In 2006, Whitaker forged another doctor's signature and obtained drugs at several Coldwater pharmacies. Then in 2008, she plead guilty to two charges of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud. In that instance, Michigan State Police say Whitaker wrote fake prescriptions for Adderall over a dozen times.
