ASHLEY, IN – Local officials say a child and adult are recovering after being treated for smoke inhalation after their home caught on fire late Friday night.
Reports indicate the Ashley-Hudson Fire Department was called to a home located in the 900 block of County Road 19 shortly after 11 p.m. Friday. First units on the scene found heavy fire coming from the rear of the home, which was quickly spreading to the second floor.
The home is reportedly a total loss due to the blaze.
The cause of the fire remain under investigation.
