SOUTH BEND – Notre Dame announced this morning “The King of Country,” singer-songwriter George Strait, will perform Saturday, Aug. 15 at Notre Dame Stadium.

Joining Strait will be special guests Chris Stapleton and Brothers Osborne.

Tickets will go on sale Friday, March 6, at 10 a.m. EST via ticketmaster.com.

Though Strait has retired from traditional touring, he continues to play to sold-out crowds in select cities nationwide.

Strait is the only artist or act in history to have a Top 10 hit every year for more than three decades. He has sold nearly 70 million albums and earned more than 60 major entertainment industry awards, including induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2006.
