Four Area Wrestlers Moving on at Indiana State Wrestling Finals

INDIANAPOLIS – After winning first-round matches Friday night, four area wrestlers have secured themselves place finishes in the Indiana High School Athletic Association State Wrestling Finals.

Seniors Isiah Levitz from Prairie Heights, Clayton Fielden from Garrett and Dominic Heath from Churubusco will wrestle Saturday along with East Noble sophomore Aidan Sprague at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

In Friday night's opening round, Isaiah Levitz of Prairie Heights defeated Chesterton’s Nick Winland to advance to today’s 160 pound semifinals. He’ll take a 42-0 record against Samuel Morrill of Columbus East, who is 30-5.

East Noble’s Aidan Sprague won by tech fall and also advanced to the semifinals at 113 pounds.

Angola Senior Jett Boots lost a 7-0 decision to Kankakee Valley's Cole Solomey at the IHSAA Wrestling State Finals. He finishes the season 35-6.

Boots finished his high school career 143-32

Wrestling continues Saturday morning at Bankers Life Fieldhouse starting at 9:30 a.m. Doors open at 8:00 a.m.
