The Steuben County Sheriff's Office and Angola City Police Departments are offering realistic, physical, self-defense training courses for women of any age, and their daughters age 12 and older as part of R.A.D. Systems training.
R.A.D. stands for Rape Aggression Defense, and was established in 1989 as an International network of certified instructors.
The program will be held on Wednesday, February 19th, Thursday February 20th, Friday, February 21st from 6 P.M. to 9 P.M. For the Wednesday and Thursday classes, the program will be held at the Angola Police Department while the Friday class will be held at Peace Lutheran Church.
The program is free of charge, but a $20 deposit will be collected at the time of registration but will be returned to all participants who complete all three nights of the program. Returning students are encouraged to attend the second, and third nights of the program.
