Excessive heat expected today and Saturday, with highs in the mid-upper 90's and heat indices ranging from 100-110 during the afternoon hours.
The National Weather Services says it will be cloudy, with a low chance for showers and storms today. Things should be clear on Saturday, with the possible chance of storms back on Sunday.
With the heat being what it is today, be sure to stay hydrated and if your outside take breaks from the sun by finding shade. The heat can be especially dangerous for children and the elderly. If you have neighbors that live alone, please check on them today.
Also, please check on your pets and make sure they have water and shade.
